Bedhampton Show 2011

The team at Bedhampton were much better prepared this year for the popularity of the Bedhampton Show and the amount of people who come along to support the event. Dressed in their medieval costumes to get involved in this years theme, and armed with our balloons for the Memorial Balloon release, tickets for our raffle and free sweets for the children (very popular!) the team of Natalie & Belinda headed off to set up our gazebo in the rather blustery wind.

After a short time and many helpers, we were able to put up the gazebo and tie it down to decorate it. The raffle prizes of a filled hamper and a bouquet of flowers were a great crowd puller and the team were soon surrounded. It was lovely to hear people saying that they had come to place a message on a balloon as they remembered doing it last year and had appreciated the sentiment behind it.

The J Edwards stand had many visitors including previous clients who came to support chat. The Mayor of Havant and his wife also came for a chat and even took part in the raffle too. The afternoon was a huge success and when the time came to release the balloons it was announced over the tannoy. The team had an influx of people and had to hold up the release several times in order to finish all of the balloons and messages. When the team finally were able to open the net, the wind had died away a little and the balloons drifted away in a constant stream taking all the messages with them. All donations given on the day were handed to FROST for the restoration of the church where the show takes place.
